Celebrating the 250th birth anniversary of Muttusvami Dikshitar

As part of the worldwide celebrations marking the 250th birth anniversary of Sri Muttusvami Dikshitar, Bharathi Kala Manram is proud to present Guruguha Vaibhavam on October 10, 2026. This special tribute will bring together musicians, students, teachers, and rasikas to honor one of Carnatic music's greatest composers through his timeless compositions.

Registration is open to everyone of all ages and levels of musical experience, with opportunities to participate through group renditions, coordinated by Smt. Archana Sriram and Smt. Lavanya Krishnan. Individuals may also offer an personal rendition of a Dikshitar composition. We warmly invite the entire community to join us in celebrating the enduring legacy of Sri.Muttusvami Dikshitar through music, learning, and devotion.

Registration Details for Guruguha Vaibhavam (Group singing events)

A participant can register for a maximum of two categories
Registration fee: $20 per category
Please send an e-transfer to info@manram.org with the full name of the participant.
Training sessions will be conducted over Zoom, and rehearsals will be in person
Notations and videos will be provided to all participants

Eligibility:

Nottuswarams: Elementary/Basic level of Carnatic music training
Dikshita krithanjali- Student should have learnt at least 4-5 varnams, and preferably 1-3 kritis
Pancha Mathanga Mukha Ganapathi - Participant should have learnt at least 8 varnams and 8 kritis
Dikshita Ratnamala - Participant should have learnt at least 10 varnams and 10 kritis
